Calculator data

Calculator inputs (prices, dates, filing status, state, and similar fields) are processed in your browser. We do not operate a custom backend that stores those inputs by default. Shareable result URLs keep parameters in the browser address bar only.

Analytics & cookies

When configured, we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate traffic and improve usability. These tools may set first- or third-party cookies and collect device/browser information, approximate location, and page interaction data. IP anonymization is enabled for GA4 where supported. You can block cookies in your browser settings.

Email capture

If you submit an email for a guide or newsletter, that address is processed by our email provider (for example ConvertKit or Beehiiv) under their privacy terms. We use it only to send the requested content and related educational updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Advertising & affiliates

We may display ads (for example via Google AdSense) and affiliate links to tax software or related products. Third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other sites. Ads will never cover calculator inputs. Affiliate partners may pay us a commission; this does not change the price you pay and does not influence calculation results.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
